(More customer reviews)This rolling bin has a number of great features, and a couple of not-so-great ones. The good: High-quality materials, clever construction, substantial size, attractive (for a rolling bin). The cover is heavy and well made, the seams are nicely finished and the material is waterproof(ish). The bin is neatly designed: The lid is bowed to help keep water out, the zipper is covered, the support pieces are strong and light, and it goes together with a minimum of agony. The cover comes as one piece and the structural bits are easily slipped into well-designed channels. The wheels seem to be plenty rugged for the planned use.
Now for the bad. The lid has a small opening in the center which allows water to get in. I have jury-rigged a cover for it, which seems to work but is attached to the body of the bin rather than the cover, so it must be removed before the cover can be opened. It is also pretty unsightly. The other problem I found is with the bottom of the unit. The fabric bottom rests directly on the ground. The cover material seems to be sufficiently waterproof to withstand even heavy rain, but not if the material rests on the ground, so the interior does not remain dry. I lined it with a plastic tarp.
I would probably still buy it, despite the drawbacks, but I'd like to see the company come up with a fix for the problems that is as elegant as the rest of the design.
