I would expect that a cover of this caliber would use a UV protectant or fabric dye that was resistant to sunlight - especially for a cover meant for the outdoors. I bought it mainly for the aesthetics of it. Within a few weeks of direct sunlight, the cover started to noticeably fade in color. Now as its first summer in Michigan winds down, the nice beige color had faded into a pale off-white. If you don't care about fading... this is your cover. Quality is great.
